Leitmotif:

      It’s been a long time since I wrote a blog.  2015 was a very busy year. All the shows and the new creating of work.. went by quickly.  Now we find ourselves already in April 2016.

Well I would like to present to you A new collective called Leitmotif  art . This an artist collective which I am part of.  The other members of the collective or made Meg Ward, Roz Hermant ,Rob Niezen and Victoria Wallace.  All of us have unique styles and unique ways of looking at the world.

IMG_6253Roz Hermant -Photography and mixed media. Graduated from Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver with a degree in Photography. Her work has been shown in various galleries in Toronto and Vancouver and the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Many of her pieces hang in private collections across Canada and Europe. rozhermant.com 

 

IMG_6252Rob Niezen -An elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists. He is Painter and printmaker, and his work is in private and corporate collections across Canada, Europe, New Zealand, and United States. He teaches at the Art School of Peterborough and served on its Board of Directors. In 2015 Rob received a Leadership in Arts & Culture Recognition Award from Peterborough County. robniezen.com

 

 

IMG_6249Victoria Wallace -A multi-media artist working, exhibiting and conducting workshops in acrylic, encaustic, watercolour and sculptural media. She had a successful mural and specialty paint finish company in Toronto for over 25 years. Her extensive commissions include work for television, film, theatre, restaurants, businesses and private collections across Canada and internationally. victoriaartist.com

 

IMG_6250Megan Ward -Painter and mixed media artist, she graduated from OCAD University (Toronto, ON) with a BFA in Drawing & Painting. The final year of her degree was completed in Florence, Italy. Her current work is an exploration of the complexities of memory, impression, and imagination.
